For the sake of improving nutrition and health of severely malnourished children, especially, as many as 742 boxes of aid given to the mothers and children in Lebak, Banten.
Assistance provided District Health Lebak, Banten, this form of biscuits and milk are provided directly through the integrated health post.
Chief Medical Officer, H Maman Sukirman in Lebak stated that supplementary food assistance programs administered because breast milk based on the results of monitoring nutritional status in July 2008, the number of severely malnourished children in the valley as much as 902.
Number of patients with malnutrition, he said, was reduced compared to the year 2007 reaching 1450 children. He said most people with malnutrition due to not getting good nutrition and economic limitations of low citizen knowledge about nutrition.
Meanwhile, Head of Community and Public Health Nutrition Sudita Tata said it was record number of integrated health post which will receive supplementary food aid it.
He hopes this week was able to distribute supplementary food to the respective integrated health post.
